Today is a day of full-on rest, and after the crazy conference time, it is much needed. Here is a Margaret update:

"Today is Monday. Our conference ended yesterday and we were so encouraged by the people we came to serve.

Nida and I came to bless moms by caring for their babies-- turns out were were so blessed by the babies (cutie cuties as Nida called them). We brought toys from Canada for them to play with. One young mom asked if we had brought them with us, and we told her we wanted to donate them, and it worked perfect to give them to her-- she lives in a small area where they have conferences four times a year and would use them for the child care. She was so happy to have them and God provided a perfect bag to carry them in.

We had a nineteen month old toddler who was not used to being away from her mom; she loved coming to the playroom. On Sunday morning she came to our door a half hour before we opened.

In the afternoon we took time to enjoy God's beautiful creation and we walked and waded in the Aegean Sea. The wind was blowing quite hard, but the water was warm. This morning a few of us went into Bodrum to go to the bank and to buy postcards. (My family is probably laughing because I'm addicted to buying postcards when I travel). We went down to the seaside for a devotional time together and walked in the water again (you're never too old to play in the water!!) The hotel very graciously provided us with lunch, although checkout time was 11am. I now sit, looking out at the sea while I write this blog. We are leaving at 6:30pm on a bus for Selchuck. So tomorrow we will be exploring that area, which includes Ephesus, before we return to Istanbul. We have seen magnificent and beautiful places in Turkey-- The Haggia Sophia (which means house of wisdom) the Blue Mosque, the Bodrum Castle (where Alexander the Great crossed the moat on dead bodies!) and the Seven Windmills.

Thank you all for your prayers and support."

As we wait for the bus we get caught up on emails, sleep, have some private God-time and enjoy the view of the Aegean Sea before we depart-- We LOVE Turkey... and some of us miss home too!
